The Family Court locations this site covers are Derby, Chesterfield, Nottingham and Mansfield. If you or your child lives in or around these locations any court hearing is likely to be held in one of these courts. Below is some information about each of those courts.
Derby & Derbyshire
In Derby the Family court is located in either the Combined Court (Crown and County) at Morledge or your case may be listed before a Judge or Magistrates siting at the Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court, St Mary’s Gate in Derbyshire.

Chesterfield Civil Justice Centre
Your family case may listed before a Judge or Magistrates sitting at the Chesterfield Civil Justice centre (as pictured above). You can find out more about the Chesterfield Civil Justice centre here.
All of these courts are a short walk away from train stations and bus stations and all have wheelchair access.
Nottingham & Nottinghamshire
Nottingham Justice Centre
In Nottingham the Family Court is located at the Nottingham Justice Centre. This is two buildings situated right next to each other. One is the Nottingham Magistrates court and the other is the Family and Youth court building. They are both just off Carrington Street and run alongside the canal. Family cases involving children are usually held in the Family and Youth Court building. You can find out more about the Nottingham Justice centre here.
Nottingham County Court and Family Court
Family cases are also heard by Judges sitting at the Nottingham County Court and Family Court, on Canal street, Nottingham. It is always important to check your notice of hearing as to which building your case has been listed in. You can find out more about the Nottingham County and Family Court here.
All of the Nottingham court buildings are close to the train station and bus depot and are within the city centre near the Broadmarsh. All of the court buildings have wheelchair access.
Mansfield Magistrates and County Court

The Mansfield Magistrates and County Court has public parking nearby and is within a reasonable walking distance from the train station. The building has wheelchair access.
